Istanbul Police Seized Smuggled Game Consoles Worth 50 Million TL
According to the information obtained, a truck suspected by the teams of the Istanbul Police Department Smuggling Crimes Combat Branch as a result of risk analysis and field work was closely monitored.
Police teams identified a truck transporting game console sets smuggled into the country from abroad and conducted an operation in Eyüpsultan on November 29.

In the operation carried out on the truck, which was understood to have entered the country from the Gürbulak Border Gate connecting Turkey to Iran and Central Asia and located on the historical Silk Road, 1 suspect was caught and taken into custody.
During the searches in the truck’s trailer, a total of 3,500 game consoles, controllers, and steering wheels with a market value of around 50 million TL were seized.
While the confiscated game consoles were taken to the police station, it was learned that an investigation was initiated against the arrested truck driver for “Violation of Law No. 5607.”
As the driver taken to the Smuggling Crimes Combat Branch for questioning, the seized game consoles were exhibited at the Istanbul Police Department.
